When naturally occurring Bismuth is melted and cooled at just the right speed it grows into a staircase structure and oxidises magical rainbow colours.  Bismuth is a crystal of transformation, supporting us through change and strengthening our connection with spirit and our higher-self to lead us to our next step in our spiritual growth.  This metalic structure grounds us, strengthening our roots, our foundation, so that when life storms come our way we are able to experience them with calm and move through them.  When I see Bismuth growing as it cools I feel it uniting and bringing humanity together.  It's rainbows show us a sign of hope and reassurance.

HISTORY, FOLKLORE and OVERVIEW

Bismuth has been known since ancient times, it was one of the first 10 metals to have been discovered   Elemental bismuth occurs naturally,  a pure brittle, crystalline, white metal with an iridescent shimmer. 

It’s a diamagnetic metal, it is repelled by magnetic fields rather than attracted to them. When heated and cooled it grows into a cube/staircase structure, and upon oxidation, turns into its magical rainbow colour. 

It is used in pharmaceutical medicines to treat occasional upset stomach, heartburn, and nausea. It is also used to treat diarrhoea and  as a stomach soothing medicine.
