Collection: Peach Moonstone

Nurtures  •  Spiritual Connection  •   Inner-Strength •  Transformation

Moonstone, also called Hecatolite is a beautiful crystal that guides and protects us, particularly at times of new beginnings or when we're travelling.

Think of the strength of the moon shining it's light to guide us along the right path along with the feminine energies of a lunar goddess and you'll start to picture the energy that Moonstone can bring to us.  The moon doesn't need to be all sparking, jumping up and down and throwing out colour, it is powerful simply by being, and so it shares that energy with us by empowering us and building our inner-strength and  helping us know we are perfect exactly as we are.

Moonstone shares it's gentle feminine, motherly energy with us, nurturing, calming our emotions and protecting us, and encouraging us to do the same for others, sharing our feminine energy and intuition for the good of all.   This is a highly spiritual crystal that Increases psychic abilities and our spirituality, and brings us the confidence to trust in the guidance we receive.

Peach Moonstone is particularly nurturing.  We personally find Peach Moonstone calls Archangel Gabriel to us.  When I hold a piece of Peach Moonstone I feel the presence of Archangel Gabriel, her warm golden glow wrapping her loving arms around me, giving me a hug and reassuring that everything will be ok, then once calm and rested, kissing me on my forehead and sending me on my way knowing that everything will be alright.  Peach Moonstone's nurturing, feminine nature also stops actions of your mother, or elder female, from effecting us.

HISTORY

Moonstone's name comes from it's Adularescence (flash, or luster).  The optical phenomenon that appears to move as the crystal is turned or light source is moved, giving the appearance of the light of the moon floating on still water.

Moonstone has been used as a powerful talisman since ancient civilisations. Romans believed it was formed from moonbeams, and both the Romans and Greeks associated Moonstone with their lunar deities.

Moonstone was named after Pliny, a Roman natural historian, wrote that moonstone’s shimmery appearance shifted with the phases of the moon—a belief that held until well after the sixteenth century.
