Kambaba Stone,  also known as Kambaba Jasper, Crocodile Stone or Green Stromatolite Jasper.   It's an earthy stone that grounds and nurtures us, particularly at times of stress or when we feel like we have had the rug pulled from under us.   It settles us, gives us emotional strength and protects us from negativity.  Kambaba helps us feel loved and attracts the right relationships into our life.  This is the perfect crystal for anyone who's been through a rough time to help reassure us that everything will be ok.

HISTORY and OVERVIEW

Most commonly called Kambaba Jasper but as this isn't a Jasper, Kambaba Stone is it's more accurate name.   It's often described incorrectly as a Stromatolite Quartz but it is in fact a volcanic Rhyolite stone. 

Sometimes confused with Nebula Stone.  Nebula Stone is black with green dots, Kambaba Jasper is green with black "eyes".

Sometimes known as Crocodile Stone due to it's "crocodile eyes"

APPEARANCE and VARIATIONS

Greenish-blue with black "eyes";.

The greenish colour is formed from Quartz, Proxene, Aegirine, Albite and Feldspar.  

The black  "eyes", or orbicular crystallisation, is formed from needles of amphiboles.

FORMATION:   Formed from magma rich in silica  that is extruded from a volcanic vent that has cooled quickly on the surface rather than slowly in the subsurface.
