Rose Calcite, also called Strawberry Calcite, is a nurturing, comforting crystal.  It calms and brings us love when we're feeling worried, stressed or have experienced a traumatic event.  As with all Calcites, Rose Calcite is a cleansing crystal, with its loving energy this is a beautiful crystal to take away fears, worries or past hurt, replacing them with reassurance and unconditional love.

HISTORY and OVERVIEW

Calcite is a rock forming mineral that is extremely common.  It's found throughout the world in sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks.  Some geologists consider Calcite to be a "ubiquitous mineral", one that is found everywhere. 

Calcite is one of the most widely used minerals, used in construction, as an abrasive, agricultural soil treatment, pigment, pharmaceutical and more.

Aragonite will change to calcite within days at temperatures exceeding 300 °C.
