Collection: Specimens

Specimens are prime example of crystals that are still in the natural state they were found in when they were collected or mined.  They haven't been cut or polished.  We tend to call higher grade examples of crystal "Specimens".  They may be a singular crystal or mineral, or they may be attached to another crystal or mineral that they naturally grow with, e.g. Kyanite may be found attached to Quartz or Mica.

(Raws or roughs, are also crystals that haven't been shaped or polished but they normally come from a larger mineral or crystal that has been broken into smaller pieces).
