Collection: Blue Quartz

Calms •  Hope •  Fear

Blue Quartz is a crystal that calms our mind and reduces fear.   It helps us understand our spiritual nature and brings hope.  Blue Quartz can help us to be more organised and disciplined.

Blue Quartz and Blue Aventurine are often used interchangeably.  Aventurine is a form of Quartz so it wouldn't be in accurate to call Blue Aventurine Blue Quartz.

HISTORY, FOLKLORE and OVERVIEW

Blue Quartz and Blue Aventurine are hard to tell apart and the naming is often used interchangeably.  Just as Rose Quartz is a variety of Quartz, Aventurine is also a Quartz so it isn't inaccurate to call Blue Aventurine Blue Quartz.  To identify these two stones, look for tiny sparkly inclusions that look like glitter.  If your stone has "glitter" it is Blue Aventurine, if it doesn't it is Blue Quartz.  Blue Aventurine is slightly translucent whereas Blue Quartz is Opaque.
