​Opalite is a trade name for man-made synthetic opalescent glass or resin made to imitate Opals or Moonstones.  It's also called Argon, Sea Opal or Opal Moonstone.  

Opalite is made of resin and glass, as resin comes from plants, and glass comes from sand.  Whilst Opalite doesn't form naturally, it is made of substances from the earth and therefore many believe Opalite still holds metaphysical properties such as bringing a playful nature and helping us be more lighthearted, lifting our spirits when we're feeling down and attracting peace and calm.

HISTORY​

Opalite is a trade name for man-made synthetic opalescent glass or resin made to imitate Opals or Moonstones.  It's also called Argon, Sea Opal or Opal Moonstone.  

Opalites are an imitation of Opal or Moonstone, they do not have the same chemical composition or metaphysical properties as natural Opal or Moonstone.

First created in 1972 by Pierre Gilson.
