HISTORY and OVERVIEW

A combination crystal formed when Zoisite (green), Ruby (pinkish red) and the hornblende Tschermakite (black) grow together.  

Anyolite was discovered by Tom Belvins in 1949 at the foot of the Kilimanjaro mountains in Tanzania.  It was named Anyolite from the Masai word meaning green.
