Botswana Agate is an agate with fine white, brown, grey or pink bands and found in Botswana, Southern Africa.

Banded Agates have been worn as amulets and talismans since the Ancient Greek times.

Agate jewellery was discovered in the grave of the "Griffin Warrior," dating back to 1500 BC.

Botswana Agate is traditionally believed to ward off spiders.
