Lemon Quartz, like most Citrine, is Amethyst that has been heat treated. Only Amethyst with a particular atom combination will turn yellow after heating (naturally or artificially). When Amethyst that has been heat treated with iron, Lemon Quartz is created. This process increases its energetic vibration, making this one of the most powerful crystals for our Solar Plexus.

CLEANSING: Lemon Quartz is one of only a few crystals that are self-cleansing. While Lemon Quartz doesn't need cleansing if you feel your piece needs a recharge, our favourite way to to that is by putting it in the sun. We recommend doing this at sunrise or sunset as direct full sun can cause the crystal to fade.
CARE: Protect from direct full sunlight to avoid fading. Avoid rapid temperature changes to avoid cracking.
