Grape Agate is scientifically called a Botryoidal Amethyst (small, round, grape like Amethyst) and currently only found in Indonesia.  

Grape Agate is a spiritual crystal that strengthens our connections with our Guardian Angel, Spirit Guides and Higher-Self.  It increases our intuition, brings clarity and inner-peace.  


OVERVIEW

Grape Agate is a marketing, or trade, name for a Botryoidal Amethyst.  

Botryoidal refers to the mineral habit (crystals growing in small, round clusters).  And Amethyst refers to the crystal being a purple Quartz.  

Agate and Chalcedony is Quartz with a microcrystalline texture.  The tiny purple ball shapes normally have a drusy surface which is a megascopically crystalline. As these crystals are most often purple in colour and Purple Quartz is called Amethyst, Botryoidal Amethyst is the most accurate mineralogical and gemological name for these crystals but they are recognised by most crystal sellers and collectors as Grape Agate.  

Grape Agate was recently discovered in 2016 in Indonesia.  This is the only location that Grape Agate is currently found.
