BUDDHA - LAUGHING

Hand-carved. The Laughing Buddha is a robust, bald man with a pot belly. The model for this Buddha was a jolly Buddhist monk, Hotei, from around the late tenth century. He has various meanings depending on his poses and where you place him. The overall meaning of the Laughing Buddha is abundance and good luck.

The standing Laughing Buddha: welcoming and celebrating great wealth and happiness.

The travelling Laughing Buddha: prosperity and wealth.

The sitting Laughing Buddha:  balance in all aspects of life.

BUDDHA - MEDITATING

Hand-carved. The Meditating Buddha is known as Amitabha, Buddha of Boundless Light.  This pose creates a triangle shape that represents stability.  The statue should face the east direction since the Buddha meditated on the sun rising during his search for enlightenment, and in a place you find peaceful and calming.

BUDDHA - PRAYING

Hand-carved. The Praying Buddha is best kept above eye level, he represents devotion and faith, blessing your home with positivity, harmony, serenity and wisdom.  Best faced east in a north east direction.  Keep away from large appliances so as not to block his positive energy.
