Bloodstone is also called called Heliotrope, Blood Jasper or Oriental Jasper.  

Bloodstone is a dark green Chalcedony with red inclusions of iron oxide or Red Jasper that resemble spots of blood. Legend tells the story that this crystal was once simply green, but when Jesus was crucified, his blood spilled upon the stone giving it the red splashes.
