While Blue Obsidian is a form of naturally occurring volcanic glass it's extremely rare and expensive.  Blue Obsidian sold by retailers is a manufactured glass.  While we don't personally believe it has the energetic properties of crystals, we do find it a very calming, relaxing and uplifting colour and even have some in our personal collection.
